the one with the christmas concert

 "Boom, you looking for this?"

Starting with Monday, we went to a super sweet old Japanese town, and there was lots of fun stuff to do. I ended up buying a sweet pair of Chopsticks as well as a sick Rice hat. Go check the album for the flicks! ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†

Wednesday, we had a special Christmas Zone conference, and it was super, super great. It was a little bit shorter and we didn't give a training which was a nice break for us. It was nice to see lots of missionaries as well as a girl who also went to AF, and we knew each other back home. At the end of the day, we had a special Christmas English class and did a white elephant game๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Thursday, we went to our awesome friend, Sunami's house, and we did a little igo tournament (that one board game with the black and white stones). It was super fun and he brought one of his other friends and she wants to start coming to English class if she can! At the end of the day, we went to a very big train station by the apartment and did some Christmas caroling with other Ward members. I've been learning guitar for the past few months, and I was able to play a bunch of Christmas songs for everyone, which was a lot of fun!

Saturday, we had our big Christmas concert that we have been practicing a long time for! We sing so many different songs, had lots of friends come, and finish the concert with hot chocolate and snacks. It went really well and everyone seemed to have a really good time! the ward member said that this was the best Christmas concert they have had in years! ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜† I got lots of flicks and videos on the album, so go check it out.

Sunday was pretty normal, and after church, we went home to do a few studies. After studying and other missionary things, we went on our bikes and biked about an hour and a half to a distant member's house for dinner together! We also went with one of the YSA in our Ward who got his mission call recently and is leaving to go to Northern Japan in about 2 weeks! We had a super great time with them, and we had a lot of really, really good conversations with their family . We ended up getting home pretty late because of how far it was to bike! ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿคฃ

Monday, we had a regular date instead of p-day because pday was moved to Christmas day. Since we had no plans, we were able to go with the senior couple and visit lots of inactive members who are very far away from the church. After that and doing some studies are entire day was pretty much gone, but we had such a great time!

Tuesday, we went on exchanges with the other Elders in our apartment. We started the day out with District council, and we want to do something fun since it was Christmas Eve so we all got to the church early and made a big pancake breakfast with all of the missionaries in okayama as well as the senior missionaries. The senior couple had made sourdough pancakes, and they were so flipping good!๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜† After that and our meeting, I went with Elder otahara, who is the Japanese kid in our apartment, and we had such a great day together! At the end of the day, we all met back up and went to a little spot in our city that was putting on a fun Christmas Eve event. They had music, food, lights, and lots of other stuff to feel so Christmassy! After that, we met up with the Clarks (one of the best families in our area), and we all went to McDonald's together, which was super fun! ๐Ÿ˜†

Well , that's all I got for this week. Feel free to email me!

That's all, folks.

the one with the meal fit for a king

 "Boom, you looking for this?"

Starting on Wednesday, we had another amazing P day! We went up the mountains yet again and had another campfire! This time, we brought the sisters because they were so jealous from last time we went... We also brought up stuff to make s'mores and had an absolute feast up there๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†
At night, we had English class, which was super fun, and we were able to have a fun lesson with everyone and play some fun games! My amazing comp also had made a birthday cake for me since we had time in the morning and we ate it at the end of the day... IT WAS SO GOOD๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†

Thursday was crazy!! we went to Fukushima ๅง‰ๅฆน house and we had lunch with her and she always makes the best food! She was so kind and had bought me a few things for my birthday. ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜There was another member, Kawashima ๅง‰ๅฆน, and she came and delivered a little cake for me for my birthday too๐Ÿ˜† This Ward has the best members of all time! ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†
After that, we went home, did some studying, and got ready to go to dinner with Mari! She also wanted to take me out to dinner for a little late birthday gift. However, me and Elder Wynn could not have expected where we went to dinner... She took us to, debatably, the nicest place in our city and paid for a 7 course meal for me and Elder Wynn๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ I have flicks of everything that I ate at the restaurant so go check it out on the album. She also gave me a birthday cake as well as some other really good desserts to take home. But after we finished eating, I also wanted to give her a gift, and so I gave her a Book of Mormon. We told her that she should read it and that it could help her in her life, but she definitely seemed a little overwhelmed when she saw it. But we had high hopes that she would still find some time to read it and enjoy it๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Friday, we had song practice in the morning, English Class in the afternoon, and then we went to lunch with our friend Naoki! ๐Ÿ˜ After that, we went home and did some pretty basic missionary things and then went to English class again to end the day! ๐Ÿ˜

Saturday, we made donuts with the elders Quorum as well as helped the primary kids make some very delicious cakes. We then got kind of caught up at the church talking with members and different things, and so that let us straight into our Sports night. That was really fun, we had some of our friends come and played lots of different basketball and soccer games with them! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Sunday, we were pretty busy as usual. We went to church, and then right after, had song practice and talked with members, which took our time to eat lunch... ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜† We then went to a retirement home with a bunch of Ward members and sang Christmas carols for all of the cute old people in there! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ after that, we came home, had lots of different calls and meetings with missionaries and did our studies, and finished the day! At the end of the day, we got a text from Mari saying that she read the Book of Mormon and that she felt relaxed and peaceful when she read it!!๐Ÿ˜ Huge Miracle that she read the Book Of Mormon!! Hopefully, we will be able to start doing some more formal lessons with her!!

Spiritual Thought:

2 Nephi 25:26
And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.

We are Christians. We want the whole world to know that we are. Sometimes we are accused of not being Christians, but such is not the case. In the words of the great prophet Nephi, “… we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.” We look to Christ as the Author and Finisher of our faith He is our Redeemer.
In the meridian of time, his church was established upon a foundation of apostles and prophets, holy men whom he knew in the flesh while he walked upon the earth. They received his teachings. He ordained them and gave them authority to act for him in all things with respect to the salvation of mankind. He knew he was not going to remain upon the earth for very long, for he so stated: “… the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.”
—Hartman Rector, Jr.
