"Boom, you looking for this?"
Starting with Monday we hit up burger kind for lunch and then met up with the sisters at our church and played ping pong, some card games, and one of them is learning guitar so I was teaching her some stuff on guitar. Pretty fun day, and then at the end of the day, like always, we played basketball with our boysππ
Tuesday we had English class and then after that, we went and got food with our boy shoki, who we play basketball with on Mondays. He said he has some questions about Christianity, and we want to start teaching him soon if we canππ
Wednesday, we had Zone Conferenceπππ
It was as fun as it usually is and it's always good to see some old friends.... I'm now the oldest person in the zone (mission age wise), and so it feels pretty weird π
π
After Zone Conference, we went back to our area, and we met up with a new friend from hellotalk! He seems pretty cool, and hopefully, he'll come to our activities!ππ
Thursday, we went to the park with natsumi and her kidsπ We had a super fun time, and the kids are so funny! π€£ They are all really crazy and they always want my attention, so they run around yelling JACE just to get me to look at themπ€£π€£
After that, we met up with a member and he drove us around to go and visit other members and it was a lot of fun, we ended up doing that pretty much all day and it was fun to spend the whole day with him! We also had some really great conversations with members, and it was a day well spent! π
Friday, we had our game night, and both of our favorite families came, and we all had a great time! ππ We played lots of ping pong and just ran around with the kids all night ππ€£
It's always super fun, and I'm so glad we were able to get so many people to come to our game night every week! ππ
Saturday, we did some service at a nearby park in the morning. We helped clean up trash with a bunch of other people from around the area! It was really great and it's finally starting to warm upππ
After that, we went to my favorite Ramen shop in Japan (it's in one of my last areas) with our friend Hide! ππ After eating dinner with him, we still had some time to kill, so we all went bowling together πππ
It was an absolute blast, and I don't think I could ever get sick of bowling π
Sunday, Bill came to church, and we had a really amazing lesson with him about baptism, the gift of the holy ghost, and enduring to the endπ
He's been reading the Book of mormon, praying, and thinking a lot about the church, and he is just such a good guy! We invited him to be baptized, and he said yes! He said he would pray and ask God when he should get baptized!π
I hope things keep going so well with him! πππππ
Spiritual Thought
2 Nephi 25:23
For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do
Jesus Christ possessed merits that no other child of Heavenly Father could possibly have. He was a God, Jehovah, before His birth in Bethlehem. His Father not only gave Him His spirit body, but Jesus was His Only Begotten Son in the flesh. Our Master lived a perfect, sinless life and therefore was free from the demands of justice. He was and is perfect in every attribute, including love, compassion, patience, obedience, forgiveness, and humility. His mercy pays our debt to justice when we repent and obey Him. Even with our best efforts to obey His teachings we will still fall short, yet because of His grace we will be saved βafter all we can do.β
