The Best 2 Years: Elder Jace Thompson in Omaha/Japan: the one where he finally became a dad

Starting with Monday, we had kinda a tough P Day and didn't really do much, but I had a lot of time to practice playing guitar 🤣🤣

Tuesday, we had DCM over Zoom, and it went alright.... I definitely prefer having DCM in person, but we can't do it in person every week😭😭

After that, we met up with our friend Natsumi and went on a walk with her and had some really good conversations! 😁😁 I'm hoping she will slowly start to have more interest in the gospel!

And at night we had English class and it was SO GOOD! We finally got a new friend to come, and it was a single mom who brought her 4 year old son with her! 😁😆 They are so cute and they loved English class so much and want to come every week! 😁😊

And at the end of the day... We got transfer news!! 😆😆😆 I finally got my dream to come true that I've had since the beginning of my mission: I FINALLY GET TO BE A TRAINER! 😆😆😆😆😆😆

I was so excited when I got the news, and I can't wait for this next transfer! 😁😁😆😆

Wednesday was also such a good day!! For lunch, we went out with a cute old couple in our ward and got sushi together 😁😁😆 It was one of the most fun member meals I have had on my mission and we talked about so many funny things 🤣🤣🤣🤣 We really got close and I'm loving getting to get to know all of the members here! At night, I got to see my friend Mima! 😁😁😁 He is my best friend in Japan and the person I baptized while I was in Osaka! Since transferring to Kawachinagano, we live pretty close, and he was able to come over, say hi, and take us out to dinner! 😆😆

It was so fun to catch up with him, and I couldn't have been more ecstatic😁😁😁 He's doing so good, and it was so good to see him again😊😁

Friday, we packed stuff up, and then at night, we had THE MOST FIRE GAME NIGHT EVER😆😆😆

We had like 25 people there (a mix of members, kids, and friends), and it was so great! 😁😁

Our new friend that came to English on Tuesday came and brought her cute four year old with her😆😆😊 Natsumi also came with two of her kids, and it was such a good night for all of us! 😁

Saturday, we got up and left for transfers!😆😆

Elder Davis transferred to Okayama, which is the area that I was in before Kawachi, and he should have so much fun there! 😁😁

I went to the mission home to pick up my beanchan (new missionary) his name is Elder Lunt, and he is super sick!! 😆😆😆 We are gonna have a fun two transfers, and I think we are going to work so well together! He was the only elder who came into the mission, and I was the lucky one who got him! 😆😆😆

Pretty much the rest of the day was me helping the other sister missionaries and their new missionaries get some lunch and find the right busses to get back to their areas😁😁

We finally finished all that and headed home!

Sunday, we had stake conference, and it was SO GOOD! I got to say hi to so many members and friends from Osaka, and I was so happy to see them! The members are all so kind and it was so fun to talk with them!😆😆😁 The really special experience I had was Mima 兄弟 spake at Stake Conference about his conversion story! He talked about me and how much I mean to him, and I really was so moved and happy to hear the impact that I had on his life. He is such an amazing person, and I really did gain a new brother when I met him. Can't wait to see what the rest of his life looks like from now on 😆😆😁
