"Boom, you looking for this?"
Starting with Monday, we biked through the rain to hit up a new burger shop, and it was pretty good.... Next time we go, I think I need a different burger, but it was a good spot none the lessππ
Tuesday, we had district council, and then we met up with Natsumi and her kids and went and played in a river with them! ππ
It was super fun, and I spent the whole time looking for crabs with her son.... But no diceπ
Still had a great time together, though! ππ
At the end of the day, we had English class and it was really good! Our class is filled with a lot of younger people so it's a lot more fun nowπππ
Wednesday was a really, really busy dayπ
In the morning, we had our first day of our mission tour with Elder Esplin! We had a mission wide zoom and talked about a lot of really good things together! ππ After the meeting ended, we had lunch with a member and one of the old ladies that we ate with a couple of weeks agoππ It was so great and they are so cute and fun to talk toπ
We then had an English lesson with Aki and we had a little lesson with her after we finished π
Finally, at the end of the day, we met up with a new friend from our language exchange app and got ramen together, and then walked around a nearby park π
Thursday was our in person day of the mission tour! We got up early and headed a couple hours north and had a big meeting and zone conference with Elder Esplin and a big chunk of missionaries from the mission. π
After that meeting finished, we had lunch, and then we had two more meetings π
It was a good day but it was very long.... We spent about 12 hours outside of our area that day, and we were pretty tired when we got homeπ
π
Friday, we had planned to eat lunch with my favorite grandma from our ward. She lives about a 40-minute bike ride away, and it was dumping rain... She said we didn't have to come if we didn't want to, but yours truly would do A LOT for a free meal, so we got on the bikes and started the trek. ππ€£ We got absolutely soaked, and there was a number of times that cars driving nearby happened to hit a puddle and throw a tidal wave at me... Somehow, my comp didn't get hit once..... It was actually it was a pretty fun bike ride, and we had a great meal with the member. At the end of the day, we had game night, but not a lot of people came since it was a holiday in Japan.... Aya and kouchan came so we had fun with them! ππππ
Saturday was so greatπππ
We got up early and went to a big stake activity where we all met up and played a bunch of different games and sports ππ
We really had so much fun and we had so many members that came so it was fun to hang out with them and just talk and cheer everyone on together π I had my 5 seconds of fame when I ran a race and cooked some other missionaries and my members were so proud of meπ€£π€£
Sunday, Bill came to church, and we went over the baptismal interview questions, so he just needs the interview, and then he will be ready to be baptized!! πππ Everything is going so smooth, and I am so excited to see him get baptized! Also, in Japan, every single Ward has what they call a fruit basket where the members put food in it for the missionaries to take home. We had so much food in our food basket this week, so shout out to our amazing members πππ I love them so much ππ♥️
Spiritual Thought:
2 Nephi 2:24
But behold, all things have been done in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things.
Remember He is the artist and you are only the picture. You can’t see it. So quietly submit to be painted—i.e., keep fulfilling all the obvious duties of your station (you really know quite well enough what they are!), asking forgiveness for each failure and then leaving it alone. You are in the right way. Walk—don’t keep on looking at it.
