"Boom, you looking for this?"
Gonna be honest, it's pretty poetic that Bill got baptized on my 100th week as a missionary.... Couldn't have planned it better myself π
Starting with Monday, we had District P day at round one... πππ It is the most classic P day and it's just an absolute party every single time ππ We spent lots of time in the arcade, played some sports outside (including the giant balls you get inside and run into each other), and of course, lots of bowling πππ I got lucky enough to have the moonlight bowling land on me and I was able to get a strike and pull a prize for the district.... ππ I think I'm 3/6 for moonlight bowling, which is a pretty dang good stat is you ask meπ€£π€£ As always, we ended the day with basketball and I've been getting better.... I hit a bunch of threes, including the one that one us the game! πππ
Tuesday, we had our district council meeting in the morning, which was really good. We went around and talked about what everyone's strengths are and what we have noticed about eachother and the spirit was so strong, and lots of people were crying.... One of the best of my mission for sure. After that, we met up with Natsumi, and we went to a place where you can make your own chopsticks! πππππππ
It was so cool!!! I have lots of flicks and vids on the album, so go and check it out ππ After that, we helped out a member with some things around their mother in law's house and then had English class! It was another good day of English and we had a really fun lesson about idioms that we use! π
Wednesday, we met up with Bill and had such a great day with him!! πππ We started by hanging with his wife and talking together, and then we went up to the mountains and had a little campfire! πππ You know that's my favorite thing so I was having such a great time! After the fire, we explored the Forrest a little more and went back to the house. His wife made so much amazing food as usual and I ate way too muchππ After eating, we sat around, talked, and I told lots of stories about scaring my mom (love you♥️π€£), camping trips, and all of the different pranks I have pulled on peopleππ Felt just like homeπ
Thursday, we did some planning for the week and prepared stuff for Bill's baptism on Sunday!π
After that, we had our children's English class and we went to the park together ππ We played lots of games and they spent a really long time trying to tag me and after I ran for way to long, they finally got meπ€£ When we got home, Shoki came and picked us up and we went to dinner together! ππ It was a really good soba noodle place and he used to go there all the time when we was in college so it was pretty nostalgic....
Friday we did lots of housing and found a new old lady! She was really, really nice and wants us to come back and share more about the gospel with her! ππ At the end of the day, we had our sports night and sadly no members cameπ but we had lots of friends and kids there so it was still really good! π
Saturday, we had lunch with Sister Kamimura, who we have been working on reactivating! She's so kind and sent us home with so much foodπ€£
After that, we went to this store and ended up talking with this dude about toothpicks... Kawachinagano is famous for them, and he said hes gonna have us come by on another day, and we are gonna take a tour of his Toothpicks.... I'm so fetching excited ππππ€£ He has some that are shaped as guns and swords and stuff πππ€£
Sunday, BILL GOT BAPTIZED ππππππ
It was such a great Sunday!! His family also came and it was so so great! ππ We were able to have a good lesson with him and his wife, and then after church ended, we had his baptism! Pretty much all the members were there, and it went so well! The spirit was so strong, and it was great! When we got in the water and I was baptizing him, he didn't bend his legs, so he also hit his head on the font since it's so small, but he missed it by that muchπ€. As we were walking out of the font, he turned to wave to all of the kids and members watching and then proceeded to swan dive back into the font π€£π€£π€£π€£
He said he wanted to take a little swim since his baptism was so fast and he didn't want to waste the water π€£π€£π€£ Yeah it was pretty legendary π€£π€£ After all of that, I confirmed him a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the sprit was so so strong. It was such an amazing day, and I couldn't have been more happy for Bill's decision to be baptized π
Well, that's it for this week. Feel free to email me!π
That's all, folks.
